According to Debkafile Saudi Arabia has recently purchased nuclear missiles with 1-3 megaton nuclear warheads from China. Simultaneously we are also seeing that Iran is making excellent progress in the pursuit of its nuclear weapons program. Historically, Iran has vowed to annihilate Israel if it ever possesses nuclear weapons. This recent Saudi purchase may be the beginning of a nightmare Middle East nuclear arms race as the Saudis are deeply concerned about an armed conflict with Iran that will most likely include nuclear weapons.
According to , Israeli prime minister Netanyahu is concerned that the American nuclear accord with Iran will enable Iran to become a nuclear power in the foreseeable future.
Now, according to , we see the nation of Turkey developing an alliance with Iran. The key to this alliance appears to be practical considerations surrounding the Syrian civil war. Historically Turkey has viewed Syria, an Iranian ally, as a threat. However, the Syrian civil war has driven 600,000 Syrian refugees in to Turkey which has been a considerable burden for Turkey to bear. As a result, Turkey has been changing its position toward Syria and the war and has also began developing alliances with Iran.
So, what does all of this have to do with the Sixth Trumpet of Revelation? Revelation 9 describes the Sixth Trumpet as a nuclear war that breaks out in the Middle East along the Euphrates River that kills 2.3 billion people. Yes folks, World War III is guaranteed to happen and with recent developments appears to be getting close.
13 Then the sixth angel sounded:And I heard a voice from the four horns of the golden altar which is before God, 14 saying to the sixth angel who had the trumpet, “ Release the four angels who are bound at the great river Euphrates.” 15 So the four angels, who had been prepared for the hour and day and month and year, were released to kill a third of mankind. Revelation 9:13-15 (NKJVS)
This calamity occurs along the Euphrates whose valley runs through Turkey, Syria, Iran and Iraq. Are you starting to see the picture? What else does the Bible tell us?
Now the number of the army of the horsemen was two hundred million; I heard the number of them. 17 And thus I saw the horses in the vision:those who sat on them had breastplates of fiery red, hyacinth blue, and sulfur yellow; and the heads of the horses were like the heads of lions; and out of their mouths came fire, smoke, and brimstone. 18 By these three plagues a third of mankind was killed — by the fire and the smoke and the brimstone which came out of their mouths. Revelation 9:16-18 (NKJVS)
The major combatants of this war are soldiers associated with the colors red, hyacinth blue and yellow. It is interesting that the Bible does NOT tell us who the participants are. In every other biblical war whether it be historical or prophetic we are told the names of the regions involved. The Sixth Trumpet war will be the most destructive war ever to be experienced on earth, over 40 times as deadly as World War II, and yet we are not told who the major participants are. Instead, the Bible gives us colors. I believe we are given clues rather than participant names because the regions involved in this war were unheard of in John’s day. I also believe that the colors we are given represent the colors of the flags of the participant nations stated below.
America – Hyacinth Blue and Red
Russia – Hyacinth Blue and Red
European Union – Hyacinth Blue and Yellow
China – Red and Yellow. China and US DOD also claim that China can field a 200 million man army, consistent with Revelation 9:16 above.
Do we see evidence today of military escalations between these nations? Absolutely. The United States-led coup of Ukraine has established Ukraine as a flashpoint between the United States, Russia and the European Union. Additionally, the Chinese foray into the Middle East arms race referenced above brings it squarely into the Sixth Trumpet prophecy as well.
Since it is a biblical certainty that this war will occur, the natural question is when will it occur? First we must see the Fifth Trumpet occur which is a 5 month Arab invasion of Israel. Then we will see a covenant confirmed, most likely the Palestinian Peace Accord. Shortly afterward, we will see the Sixth Trumpet War. This will be the entrance ramp for the antichrist to gain full power. It is extremely likely that the antichrist will rise from Turkey.
So what can we do?
- Repent and pray for national repentance
- Study the Bible, especially the gospel and prophecy
- Share what you learn with others. Daniel 11 tells us “those of the people (in the end times) shall instruct many”. These people will be God’s warriors and this is something we should all aspire to!
