And who is able to stand?”

Do you respect/fear God? Surprisingly, many people do not…even those claiming to be His followers. Have you ever stopped to consider that the only reason you and I are here is to serve Him? In every aspect of our lives, we are to serve Him fully!
Acts 17:28 For in him we live, and move, and have our being; as certain also of your own poets have said, For we are also his offspring.
Proverbs 9:10 says:
The fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom, and the knowledge of the Holy One is understanding.
And, Psalm 111:10 says:
The fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom; all who follow His instructions have good insight. His praise endures forever.
Are you lacking in fear of the Lord? Do you live your life entertaining and fulfilling your own needs, or do you live your life allowing God to direct your paths?
I was checking out news articles on the internet last night when I stumbled across an article that really made me think. The headline read: The universe compared to EARTH: Astronomer creates images to reveal the size of stars, planets and moons in relation to our planet

I was reminded of a video I saw several years ago by Louie Giglio titled, “How Great Is Our God?” in which he compares earth to the size of a golf ball. By the end, the viewer feels much smaller than a golf ball, (in a humble way, of course), and recognizes the power and omnipotence of God more than before having watched the video to begin with.
When I stop and consider all that God has created—the universe, every star, planet, sun, moon, milky way, galaxy, all of humanity, every living and non-living thing, and much more—I am stunned! When I reflect on times past when I have exuded an attitude of self-importance, or the times I have told God what I wanted to do, or, worse, what I thought He should do, I shake my head asking myself, “What was I thinking? Does the God who created all things, great and small, really need me to tell Him what He needs to do?” The answer, of course, is no.
And what about all the things we are doing in our lives each and every day? How many of those ‘things’ are things which glorify God, the very One who allows us to awake each and every day? How much of our lives are really spent living for Him? These are questions we all must ask ourselves. And the ‘honest’ answer to those questions is even more important. Finally, it is also important that we go to God and confess the truth to Him. Maybe it’s time to have an up front and personal conversation with our Heavenly Dad?
