National Geographic: Look out, South Carolina, Illinois, and Missouri. Although California is well known for earthquakes, new federal government maps extend the high-risk zones for temblors across much more of the country.
University of Oregon geophysics professor Doug Toomey: “If it is completely locked, it means it is increasingly storing energy and that has to be released at some point.” Toomey said a big unknown is how much strain has accumulated since the plate boundary seized up, and secondly, how much more strain can build up before the fault rips and unleashes a possible magnitude-9.0 megaquake and tsunami. Toomey described himself as “very concerned” and said it is “imperative” people in the Northwest continue to prepare for a big earthquake.

Experts VERY CONCERNED-Warning USA To Prepare! Horrific Monster Quakes To Shake the Hell Out of USA!
In 1973, the late David Wilkerson had a vision, and he prophesied the following, which is from his book, “The Vision and Beyond”. But now, it gets even more chilling! The experts, based on new data, are admittedly ‘very concerned’ about two of the very fault lines Wilkerson mentioned in his book! If God can’t get the ‘hell’ and corruption out of the USA by warning us, maybe it’s time He shakes “THE HELL” out of us!
“…The United States is going to experience, in the not-too-distant future, the most tragic earthquake in its history. One day soon this nation will be reeling under the impact of the biggest news story of modern times. It will be coverage of the biggest, most disastrous earthquake in history. This earthquake will cause widespread panic and fear. Without a doubt, it will become one of the most completely reported earthquakes ever. Television networks will suspend all programming and carry all-day coverage. Another earthquake, possible in Japan, may precede the one that I see coming here. There is not the slightest doubt in my mind about this forthcoming massive earthquake on our continent. I believe it will be many times more severe than the San Francisco quake.”
“I am not at all convinced that this earthquake will take place in California. In fact, I believe it is going to take place where it is least expected. This terrible earthquake may happen in an area that’s not known as an earthquake belt. It will be so high on the Richter scale that it will trigger two other major earthquakes. I also believe we are going to see, later, a major earthquake in the Aleutian Islands, which will result in a number of smaller earthquakes and aftershocks all along the west coast of the United States.”
“News about government scandals, news about war and even economic problems will be completely overshadowed by earthquakes. Within minutes after this quake hits, the whole country will know it, and millions will be stunned and shocked.”
Wilkerson’s prophecies fall right in line with what the experts are saying. Too many people are sounding the alarm that the United States of America is in BIG trouble. Between the prophecies and the recent ‘following’ news, shouldn’t we be concerned?
In an article from National Geogrophic in July of 2014, according to new data:
The maps were drawn from new seismic data collected over the past several years as well as improved computational modeling done at the University of California, Berkeley and elsewhere. The maps also draw from GPS data of movement along fault lines, the first time such data has been used by the USGS in this way, says Petersen. GPS data has allowed scientists to monitor much wider areas than was previously possible with limited laser studies. In a report accompanying the maps, the USGS points out that while all U.S. states have some potential for earthquakes, 42 of the 50 states “have a reasonable chance of experiencing damaging ground shaking from an earthquake in 50 years,” which is generally considered the typical lifetime of a building. Sixteen of those states have a “relatively high likelihood” of damaging shaking.
Based on historic trends, the regions most at risk remain the West Coast, the Intermountain West, and several known active regions in the central and eastern U.S., including near New Madrid, Missouri, and Charleston, South Carolina. The 16 states at highest risk of quakes are Alaska, Arkansas, California, Hawaii, Idaho, Illinois, Kentucky, Missouri, Montana, Nevada, Oregon, South Carolina, Tennessee, Utah, Washington, and Wyoming.

And, they add that there are expanded risks. If this wasn’t enough in itself, there’s even more! We know that earthquakes ‘do’ happen. We hear about horrific earthquakes and tsunamis happening around the world. But what are you going to do when the very nightmares you hear about happen in your safe haven?
Petersen says several areas have a higher potential for bigger earthquakes than previously thought. Among them is much of the eastern U.S. Scientists historically hadn’t had a lot of earthquake data from the eastern part of the country, but the magnitude 5.8 earthquake that struck Virginia in 2011 was felt by tens of millions of people and was recorded by numerous data centers. The quake caused structural damage, including to historic monuments in Washington, D.C., and taught scientists a lot about the regional geology by “enhancing our data set immensely,” says Petersen.
The new maps also reflect expanded earthquake risk around the New Madrid Seismic Zone in southwestern Missouri; the zone stretches into Illinois, Indiana, Kentucky, Tennessee, Mississippi, and Arkansas. A series of earthquakes up to magnitude 8.1 devastated that area in 1811 and 1812.
A recent News article from Seattle News reports there is no sign of life coming from the Cascadia fault line—stating that it’s extraordinarily quiet, and even eery. When plates lock up, it is like an enormous boiling pot with the lid tightly sealed at the top. Pressure on top of pressure continues building up until it finally blows! So when the plates do finally move, it will be an event that will stun America from the west coast to the east coast, possibly even igniting ‘other’ earthquakes around the globe.
It is “a puzzle,” according to University of Oregon geophysics professor Doug Toomey. “What is extraordinary is that all of Cascadia is quiet. It’s extraordinarily quiet when you compare it to other subduction zones globally,” Toomey said in an interview.
To make sure they’re not missing something, researchers have been using ships to drop off and later retrieve ocean bottom seismographs. These record for up to a year right on top of the fault zone. A joint Japanese-Canadian team dropped instruments offshore of Vancouver Island. A separate team led by Toomey at the University of Oregon is in its fourth year of deployments. Named the Cascadia Initiative, it is rotating among subduction zone segments offshore of Washington, Oregon and Northern California.
Toomey has skimmed the first three years of his results. The Japanese-Canadian team just published theirs online in the Bulletin of the Seismological Society of America. The bottom line: Even with more sensitive instruments, it’s still eerily quiet out there. Which leads the researchers to conclude the dangerous Cascadia fault zone is stuck — or in science-speak, it is fully “locked. “The lack of interplate seismicity is interpreted to reflect complete healing and locking of the megathrust over three centuries after the previous great earthquake,” wrote Koichiro Obana and his co-authors in the BSSA paper.
Toomey admits that they are ‘very’ concerned and the fact that the plates are stuck has serious implications!
The evidence pointing to the colliding tectonic plates being completely stuck has serious implications for earthquake risk on land in the Pacific Northwest. “If there were low levels of offshore seismicity, then we could say some strain is being released by the smaller events,” Toomey said. “If it is completely locked, it means it is increasingly storing energy and that has to be released at some point.”
Toomey said a big unknown is how much strain has accumulated since the plate boundary seized up, and secondly, how much more strain can build up before the fault rips and unleashes a possible magnitude-9.0 megaquake and tsunami. Toomey described himself as “very concerned” and said it is “imperative” people in the Northwest continue to prepare for a big earthquake.
So what might the three earthquakes Wilkerson mentions be? Is it possible that the Northwest Cascadia zone, (not IF, but WHEN) when it erupts will ignite an earthquake in Japan, as Wilkerson mentions? Including the New Madrid? An excerpt from the same article reported recently in Seattle news states:
The last full rip of the Cascadia Subduction Zone happened in January 1700. The exact date and destructive power was determined from buried forests along the Pacific Northwest coast and an “orphan tsunami” that washed ashore in Japan.
Are These the Three Zones Wilkerson Mentions In His Prophecy? It certainly appears this way!
