“When the righteous thrive, the people rejoice; when the wicked rule, the people groan” (Proverbs 29:2).
As the United States sinks further into the pit of godlessness every day, mother Russia is rising to the top in moral values as never before. Russia is by no means perfect in God’s sight. Rather, in comparison against the United States of America, Russia’s slate appears spotless.
First and foremost, I want to state that I am not making Vladimir Putin out to be a saint, nor am I judging his Christian faith either way. I am merely going to make a comparison between an evil leader and a leader who is more righteous in the eyes of God; not necessarily ‘perfect’ by any stretch of the imagination. I have read things in the news regarding President Vladimir Putin that, if true, are not very godly.
But this article is not about perfection, nor is it even about whether or not a person is truly a Christian, as God is the only One who knows the heart of man. This article is about the judgement of God on a sinful, corrupt, and Godless nation—from its leadership, down to the nation the leader resides over.
